Listening to your clients and taking their feedback, gripes and likes on board is the hallmark of a successful business. But when you launch your business app into the world for the first time, it can take a while for the App Store or Google Play reviews to come in. So, how can you be sure you’re launching an app that your customers will love? Read on for five features that your clients want to see in your app in 2019.

1.   A unique experience

With millions of apps on the world’s top app stores, covering every category imaginable, it can be hard for those thinking of building a business app to see how they can possibly differentiate their offering. This is key however as your customers want – and expect – to enjoy a unique experience when using your app. That isn’t to say that you need to invent never seen before functionality in order for your app to be successful, but you do need to package your app into a unique experience for users. Don’t try and clone an existing app, instead focus on what your business, product or service can offer that is unique.

2.   Ease of use

This should be a given but it’s amazing how many forget this simple rule. When creating your app with your app development agency, focus on ease of use just as much as you prioritise aesthetics. If your app interface is overly complicated or your navigation too difficult, your users will go elsewhere.

3.   Easy checkout

If your app will also be a sales tool, your customers expect that they will be able to checkout quickly and easily. This means your app needs to map out an easy path to purchase and implement a checkout process suitable for the app format – perhaps by incorporation options such as Apple Pay. You shouldn’t force the user to fill in a long registration form for example or make the payment process painful.

4. Personalisation

The modern consumer expects to receive an experience tailored to them - and that means working personalisation into your app design. This can be achieved in a number of ways such as suggesting products based on their previous buying behaviour, showing images or content linked to their preferences or otherwise tailoring the in-app experience to their personal likes, dislikes and habits.
